Medical Care

“[Lord] you have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.” Isaiah 25:4

All over the world, hundreds of thousands of people suffer from medical conditions that can be remedied with medical care. Too many of them cannot afford the surgeries they need.

Children in poverty are most at risk of malnutrition, disease and exploitation. But they can experience the love of Jesus through your lifesaving gift of food, medical care, and protection. Help support children now.

Across Africa, YOU provide medical assistance to remote and poor communities that do not have access to even the most basic medical care. By partnering with TOP, you save lives and show God's love - bring hope and healing to the sick.

The Taasa Orphan Program works with local hospitals to maximize our ability to provide the medical care and treatment that patients from poor and remote communities need. But we would also like to cooperate with you and with international pharmaceutical companies.

Through medical and dental brigades, drug distribution, community volunteers, women's ultrasound and health programs, and life-changing surgeries, you offer love and dignity to those who suffer. Not only that, but you also help identify and treat major health problems and save lives!

Life Saving Surgeries

Providing life-changing surgeries is an essential part of the international medical care that you enable. Whether it's surgery for cleft lips and palate, clubfoot, orthopaedic problems, vision, burns, or even repairing a hole in a child's heart, you will change and even save lives. Thanks to your generous support, our global medical program is healing those who cannot afford the surgeries they so badly need. Visit our Life Saving Surgeries page Now...

Disease Prevention

Prevention is often the best treatment for disease. Friends like you from the Taasa Orphan Program enable classes in hygiene, health, dental care and nutrition around the world. You send healthy meals to school children in need.
Thanks to your donations to the Taasa Orphan Program, patients become vital health screenings such as ultrasounds and cervical cancer screenings, as well as screening for things like diabetes and high blood pressure. You are also fighting mosquito-borne diseases such as chikungunya, dengue, malaria and Zika in places like Uganda and Kenya through preventative community health programs.

Community Health Volunteers

Your support enables the Taasa Orphan Program to train Community Health Volunteers to serve as frontline health promoters in remote villages where medical care is difficult to reach, providing essential assistance and information to those in need. In poor rural communities, these volunteers can provide life-saving basic care and health education to the local population for injuries, illness, pregnancy and more. You also equip this health facilities with first aid kits and other basic medical supplies to share with the community as a whole.

Medical & Dental Brigades

In areas where healthcare is not readily available or affordable, provide physical care through medical and dental brigades. Medical and dental professionals treat illnesses, injuries and dental problems, provide much-needed medicines, and offer referrals. These brigades meet the desperate needs of rural communities. You direct hope and healing, enabling patients to pursue a better and healthier future.
